Associate Professor Christina FiigSchool of Culture and Society - European Studies will present her ongoing project ‘Blind Spots’ on news sources, gender and minorities in Danish TV-news. She will talk about the democratic consequences of biased news sources in terms of gender and minorities in the framework of the democratic public sphere and citizenship.

Christina Fiig is a political scientist and gender scholar. Her work focuses on politics and gender from different angles; gender quotas, medias portrayal of female politicians, women in management and feminist theory, just to mention some of the topics she covers in her work. She is also a board member of KVINFO as well as The Women´s Museum (Kvindemuseet).
