In a research cooperation scientists of the University of Arts Berlin, of the Film University Potsdam Babelsberg and of Aarhus University are working together to explore aesthetical experiences.

Our recent study is run in Berlin, combining eye tracking, physiological measurements (EMG/ ECG) and interview data to examine individual emotional and cognitive effects of film style. As object of investigation we chose an arthouse movie from the Berlin School: Sehnsucht was shot in 2006 by Valeksa Griesebach and comes with special aesthetical qualities. With a combination of quantitative and qualitative data, we aim to study this extraordinary artwork from different angles.

We have first results that we would like to discuss here in Aarhus and are looking forward to your participation!
