Prof. Raz is an international leading figure in cognitive neuroscience of consciousness, hypnosis and attention. His research interests include neural and psychological substrates of attention, suggestion, placebos, self-regulation and effortful control. Cognitive neuroscience of authorship processes, altered consciousness, and atypical cognition. Imaging of the living human brain (neuroimaging), genetics, eye-tracking. Unlocking the brain substrates of emotion, cognition, though and action in both children and adults with an emphasis on clinical populations, including individuals with Tourette’s syndrome, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and pathological gambling.
