									<div><h2>Context and perceptual asymmetry effects on the mismatch response (MMR/MMN) to speech sounds: an MEG/ERF&nbsp;<br><br></h2></div><p>Abstract: Investigating Danish speech sounds, we found that a [t] compared to a sequence of [d]s elicited stronger neural responses than a [d] compared to a sequence of [t]s. We discuss this perceptual asymmetry in the light of linguistic and psychophysical explanations.
</p>
<p><em>Andreas Højlund is a PhD student in neurolinguistics at Aarhus University and just recently submitted his thesis for evaluation. He is affiliated with IMC and CFIN, and he is currently working on a project using MEG to investigate deep brain stimulation (DBS) in Parkinson's patients.</em></p>
