Gnist is a global organization that creates tools, experiences, and schools to rediscover the joy of learning. We believe that learning is everywhere for everyone. In all of our projects aim to enhance learning and curiosity while cutting through traditional silos in society. We do that in three ways:

  1. We create tools and products that help individuals, teams, and communities foster creativity, tackle big questions, structure their learning, and generate novel insights and ideas.
  2. We design and lead experiences, ranging from conference sessions to bespoke inspiration tours that focus on specific questions and themes. These experiences provoke new modes of learning and exploration and are tailored to the unique goals of the group.
  3. We create innovative schools that embody the core beliefs of Gnist, especially those of inquiry and intergenerational learning.

One of the projects coming up that we're most excited about is this Nordic Inspiration Tour which will bring together researchers, educators and designers from the US and Scandivavia to explore how communities and institutions are transforming themselves into powerful engines of learning. We are also currently in our planning years to design and launch a lab school in Aarhus. This learning community will provide an excellent education for students in Aarhus, but also create methods, tools, and curriculum that can be used by schools across the globe.
