Ross Deans Kristensen-McLachlan, Assistant Professor

New position

From 1st February 2021 Ross Deans Kristensen-McLachlan has got a new position as Assistant Professor of Cognitive Science and Humantites Computing!  

 

Ross Deans Kristensen-McLachlan:  

I'm going to split my time between the Center for Humanities Computing and the department of Linguistics, Cognitive Science and Semiotics.  

I'll be teaching language and visual analytics on the new bachelor's elective module 'Cultural Data Science', where I'll be working alongside @adivea and I'll teach a module on Natural Language Processing as part of the master's in Cognitive Science.  

Alongside that, I'll be working on some pretty exciting infrastructure development, creating and developing educational access to cloud computing and HPC through UCloud.

And of course I'll be carrying on my current research, focusing on cognitive-linguistic and computational analysis of register, genre, and style. Watch this space!
