Anders Norge Lauridsen, Visiting PhD student

New face at IMC

2018.10.24 | Anne-Mette Pedersen

Anders is a visiting PhD student in social anthropology from the University of Gothenburg. His PhD work is about how spirits inform life in rural Madagascar where he has conducted yearly fieldworks since 2015. In addition to using good old ethnographic methods like participant observation in spirit possession rituals, he is tinkering with a new experimental method consisting in using narratives (ghost stories) to elicit spirit-related notions from his Malagasy informants.

Anders is in room 1483-327 until the beginning of January - please drop in and say hello
