FieldTrip Course
IMPORTANT: THE EVENT IS FULLY BOOKED. REGISTRATION NOW WILL PUT YOU ON A WAITING LIST! Interested in MEG/EEG Analysis? FieldTrip is the MATLAB software toolbox for MEG and EEG analysis that is being developed by a team of researchers at the Donders Institute for Brain, Cognition and Behaviour and the Max Planck Institute in Nijmegen, the Netherlands in close collaboration with collaborating institutes. Get your hands dirty under the supervision of instructors from the Donders Institute itself!

The toolbox offers advanced analysis methods of MEG, EEG, and invasive electrophysiological data, such as time-frequency analysis, source reconstruction using dipoles, distributed sources and beamformers and non-parametric statistical testing. It supports the data formats of all major MEG systems (CTF, Elekta/Neuromag, 4D, Yokogawa) and of most popular EEG systems, and new formats can be added easily. FieldTrip contains high-level functions that you can use to construct your own analysis protocols in MATLAB. Furthermore, it easily allows developers to incorporate low-level algorithms for new EEG/MEG analysis methods.
The course will be given by two Donders-Fellows: Jim Herring and Luca Ambrogioni and will include hands on experience with the following dataset:
If you attend, please
- make sure you have a working Matlab-license and Fieldtrip is installed
- get the training data, read about the paradigm used
- go through the page on Preprocessing and watch the movie!
Note also that there will be an introductory course into FieldTrip by Kousik Sarathy and Mikkel Vinding on Tuesday, 6.10.15 at 13:30 in the Meeting room of CFIN, 5th floor. Anybody that did not work with this Toolbox before should attend. The official Workshop starting Wednesday will not start with basic syntax and will also leave out on basic data preprocessing steps!!!
LINK WAITINGLIST
External participants (non AU students/staff) will be charged an attendance fee of 150 Euro, to be paid in Aarhus!
