Abstract
In the midst of growing calls for research to be “societally relevant,” how can the environmental humanities contribute not only to new narratives about human-nature relations, but also to on-the-ground ecological improvements? This talk opens up this question through a proposed humanities-led project on river restoration in Denmark. In addition, the talk asks how interdisciplinary and cross-sector environmental initiatives might turn out differently when humanities scholars take a leading role.
