Exploring Ethical Futures of Healthcare AI

Mette Terp Høybye has received a grant from Helsefonden (400.000 DKK) for a new project starting up in 2024

The project explores potential gaps between the needs and expectations of the future healthcare system to be supported by and implement artificial intelligence (AI). Creating increased ethical reflection among stakeholders will help close the existing gap between AI development and clinical implementation, acknowledging the psychological, social, and political consequences of this interdisciplinary space. AI has an important contribution to make to the future of healthcare, but our discussion of what healthcare system we want as a society is essential to support that contribution.

The project will be carried out in collaboration with Victor Vadmand Jensen, Associate Professor and Deputy Head of Department Jeppe Lange, Department of Clinical Medicine, Director of Research Marianne Johansson Jørgensen, Horsens Regional Hospital and Professor Jan Wolff, Department of Dentistry and Oral Health - Section for Maxillofacial Surgery and Oral Pathology
