I’m Iris van der Burch, 26 years of age. I was born in the Netherlands, lived in south America for some time, and I am currently living in Aarhus.

After my BA in Minorities and Multilingualism at the University of Groningen, I am now working towards a MA degree in Human Security at Aarhus University. I chose to get some hands-on experience in my third semester by doing an internship. I feel very lucky for being offered a spot at the IMC in and I have joined the HOPE project since the end of October.

During my internship I will focus on retrieving and processing Facebook data. I hope to learn more about the possibilities of retrieving data from social media and how to analyze this data.

I am very excited to be able to work with this project, and I hope I can contribute positively. I look forward to meeting everyone, and to hear what projects other people work on.
