Hi IMC. My name is Eva. I am a physiotherapist and educational anthropologist. I am working on a PhD proposal together with Mette Terp Høybye, and I will become connected to the IMC. My project will explore the significance of manual touch in physiotherapy, with a focus on the development of the therapeutic alliance between physiotherapists and patients. I am interested in the human body as a scientific object and social phenomenon and want to highlight the social dynamics in physiotherapy. The project and my ethnographic fieldwork will be connected to the University Clinic for Interdisciplinary Orthopaedic Pathways at the regional hospital of Silkeborg. I will be working on the proposal part-time from january 2025 and will in the beginning primarily be based in Silkeborg, but I hope to make it to the IMC as much as possible. I look forward to meeting you all and I am very excited to have the possibility of interacting with a diversity of bright minds.
