Meet our new PhD student - Victor Vadmand Jensen
New face at IMC
My name is Victor Vadmand Jensen and I hold a BSc in Techno-Anthropology and an MSc in IT Design and Application Development, both from Aalborg University. After I graduated with my MSc in June 2023, I worked as a research assistant at the Human-Centered Computing research group at Aalborg University, where I studied the use of AI among software engineers in diverse companies. I have also spent some time and publication efforts in the field of human-computer interaction!
I am starting my PhD on the 1st of August, 2024. My PhD project "Exploring Ethical Futures of Healthcare AI" concerns ethically acceptable artificial intelligence (AI) in the context of healthcare. Specifically, my project investigates what ethically acceptable AI might look like in future healthcare systems, where AI is commonplace among clinicians and patients. The aim is to understand what sorts of ethical challenges related to AI might arise in the future, as well as what socio-technical mechanisms we can leverage to already now start to support future ethically acceptable AI. My main supervisor will be Mette Terp Høybye.
If you are interested in how humans interact with technologies, the ethics of AI and clinical medicine, or what our healthcare systems might look like in the future, do not hestitate to reach out to me!
